are in the midst of the presidential election battle and nobody knows if Mr. Obama
will be the likely candidate to win the presidency of the USA. He has yet to win
his party’s nomination. And although he is ahead of his opponent Senator Clinton,
their fight rages on as she is not giving any indications of conceding. Even assuming
that he eventually wins the Democratic Party’s nomination, he still has a road
of hurdles ahead before reaching the general election in November. In his favor
is the fact that he is a charismatic personality with very articulate and eloquent
oratory skills. On the other hand, he lacks the qualifications essential for the
job, mainly the executive experience. Most importantly, recent revelations about
his link with anti-America personalities are causing lots of damage to his candidacy.
Whether he can control this damage and regain the support he needs from the American
people remains to be seen.
The mere possibility that Mr. Obama could become the President of the U.S. is
chilling for many people. Some of his proposals such as withdrawing from Iraq
and negotiating with terrorist States like Iran are received as reckless by conservative
Americans. Many think that it would hurt our cause and would result in our defeat.
I, too, share the belief that these proposals would eventually hurt the American
cause and would also hurt the West and the entire free world. But, I am cautious
about how the initial results might appear. At first glance, we might actually
see some results that are seemingly positive.
I believe if Mr. Barak Hussein Obama becomes the President, we might receive some
cooperation from the enemies of our democracy in the Islamic world. They probably
would want to lead us believe that our past policies (which led to 9/11) were
wrong; that the new administration's policies correct; and that they are willing
to do everything in their power to make them work. As a result we may enjoy a
measure of false sense of peace and prosperity, but in actuality we would eventually
pay a hefty price for our naivety.
If Mr. Obama becomes President, Al Qaeda may negotiate with him to stop its operations
in Iraq. The insurgency might be dismantled and the killing might stop. The United
States Army would be able to return home.
Similarly, if Mr. Obama becomes President, he might be able to strike a deal with
the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and brings our troops home from there
as well.
If Mr. Obama becomes President he might be able to negotiate a peace treaty where
Iran pledges to put an end to its program for producing Nuclear weapons.
If Mr. Obama becomes President, you may see Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia
and the Gulf States increasing their oil production, thus pushing oil prices down
and guaranteeing a steady flow of oil.
Mind you that these would be only tactical concessions for a limited time and
to achieve a certain goal. In return for these concessions, Muslims would receive
a good return. They would have proved their motto “Islam is the answer.” They
would have gained a stronger foothold in America. The Islamization of America
would be just a matter of time. In a way, they would have taken another giant
step in the process of controlling America. And, he that controls America controls
the world.
